Star 104.5 Celebrates 20 Years

This Friday, March 15, the Central Coast’s number one radio station, Star 104.5, will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The station will mark the milestone with a special celebration on the Central Coast on Friday evening, to thank Star 104.5 staff, clients and partners for their support over the past twenty years. Hosted by Star 104.5 breakfast presenter Gina Jeffreys and Program Director, Shayne Sinclair, the event will feature an exclusive live performance by best-selling artist Samantha Jade.

Since first launching in 2004, Star 104.5 has served the Central Coast community as a trusted source of news and entertainment and has remained committed to its  mission of connecting with its local audience. From the station’s first year on air - when Nova’s very own Smallzy hosted his first radio show, the Star Nights Show, which ran for three years - through to present day, the station has always taken pride in “being made on the coast for the coast” with all content produced locally from their Erina studios.

Star 104.5 has for the past four years held the position as the Central Coast’s number one radio station, which is testament to its dedication to providing quality programming tailored to their audience. Additionally, the station is the exclusive media partner of the Central Coast Mariners, the region’s only national sports team.

Throughout the years, Star 104.5 has actively participated in various community initiatives, including delivering toys to local families during Christmas, sponsoring local sporting clubs and community events like the Long Jetty Festival and supporting Cancer Council initiative, Stars of the Central Coast, which has raised over $1.1 million over the past decade.
