smooth chill launches on DAB+

Since launching in May 2012, smoothfm has been extremely successful with our listeners in Sydney and Melbourne and nationally on DAB+. As a result, NOVA Entertainment identified an opportunity to provide a broader offering for the audience and advertisers by extending the smoothfm brand.

In early September smooth Relax launched on DAB+. This station is a natural extension of main smooth brand, smooth Relax has a relaxing and calming playlist, creating a stress-free environment, to allow our listeners to escape their busy lives. With a soundtrack ranging from Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley to Bruno Mars, Lionel Ritchie and George Michael, smooth Relax features iconic artists and timeless music to lift listeners soul and mood.

In exciting news, NOVA Entertainment launched smooth Chill, a station with a cool and surprising music mix. smooth Chill is a DAB+ station (previously known as Koffee) and features a unique playlist that will provide a calming oasis for listeners who love new and different music. With a surprising and alternative smooth playlist ranging from Portishead, James Blake, Moby, Angus & Julia Stone and Bonobo, smooth Chill will offer lovers of trip-hop, electro, folk and soul, relaxing music to lift their mood. Listeners who loved Koffee, will love smooth Chill.
