A New Dawn for the FIVEaa Sports Show - Tim Givever to join Stephen Rowe

The FIVEaa Sports Show will be a little more black and white (and teal) when Tim Ginever, Port Adelaide Football Club legend and SANFL Hall of Famer, joins Stephen Rowe for the drive home from Monday 8th August.

The FIVEaa Sports Show with Rowey & Timmy G will cover all of the big issues in sport and deliver key insights into Adelaide’s local AFL teams.

Highly respected within the football fraternity, Premiership captain Ginever played in seven premierships for Port Adelaide in a career spanning 314 league games. Ginever was Port Adelaide Captain from 1994-1997, Port Adelaide SANFL Coach from 2006-2009 (82 games), won the A.R. McLean Medal in 1994 and 1997 and was inducted in the SA Hall of Fame in 2015.

With a legend of their club officially in the chair, Port Adelaide fans will get insight into the inner sanctum and an insider’s perspective on their beloved football club while Ginever will also keep Rowey in check each day.

No stranger to FIVEaa’s audience, Ginever first joined FIVEaa back in 1994 as a part of the ‘Sunday Roast’, has been a staple of the station’s commentary team since 2010 and has been a regular contributor to the Sports Show throughout the year.

True to form, and just like his playing days, Ginever can’t wait to crack in and get started.

Timmy said: “It’s about bloody time we’ve got a Port person on the show (which I know Rowey has been craving for so long *wink*).

I’m incredibly excited and humbled to be given such an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait bring some great content to the show but most importantly, put a smile on people’s faces while I’m doing it.”

On his new co-host, Stephen Rowe said: “You know what? I suppose it’s about time and if it has to be anyone, it may as well be my old mate Timmy G.  He’s an absolute legend, the King of Alberton himself…  It’s just a shame he couldn’t have played for a better team.

Timmy and I had plenty of great battles on field, I’m sure there’s plenty more to come off-field and we’re both looking forward to getting started.”

The FIVEaa Sports Show with Rowey & Timmy G
